How to report a claim to Amaco

Amaco's claims page asks for a motor or goods in transit loss to be reported within 48 hours and not later than 7 days, by claim notification form, phone or e-mail, then the documents for the type of claim (for motor: the claim form, police abstract and policy schedule; for WIBA: the claim form, the injured person's ID, three months' payslips, medical receipts and the Labour department forms). The same page gives the 90-day limit of the Insurance Act for settlement once all documents are in (s.203).

IRA's quarterly release counted 15 complaints against Amaco from October to December 2025 (IRA Q4 2025); see complaints by company.

Not to be confused with the insurers IRA placed under statutory management on 11 March 2026 (Trident, KUSCCO Mutual, Corporate Insurance — IRA statement): Africa Merchant Assurance is on IRA's list of licensed insurers of 30 March 2026.
