How to pay
Pay through paybill 200222 or by dialling *147#, according to the SHA FAQ. Employers who fail to remit deductions face a fine of up to KES 2 million or 3 years in prison (Act s.48).
Topping up SHA with private cover
SHA covers a defined benefit package. Many families add a private medical plan for wider hospital choice or outpatient limits — see health insurance in Kenya.
